Aldi spoofs John Lewis with budget Man on the Moon ad

Aldi have launched a Christmas TV ad spoofing the popular Man on the Moon ad from John Lewis.

The discount retailer goes after the upmarket John Lewis’s more affluent audience with a touch of humour.

There was a social media backlash when John Lewis’s The Man on the Moon ad was broadcasted, has this also been exploited by the German retailer? #MoonHitler anyone?

Confident that they have won Christmas, Aldi tweeted, ‘Watched our new Christmas TV advert yet? RT if you’re over the moon with it…’

You can find Aldi’s in north-west London at the following locations:
– 142-162 Kilburn High Road, London, NW6 4JD
– Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury, London NW9 9HN
